About the Creator of
Lori's Bucket List
* Lori Thompson is the mother of 8 sons ranging from 21 to 6 years old
* Lori is on Instagram as @LorisFabLife and also vlogs regularly on YouTube with the Lori’s Fab Vlog channel
* Lori is often referred to as the #funmom and is frequently asked how she stacks so much fun into the summer with the kids
* Lori has always been checking things off her bucket list, and that extended to her family once she married and started having kids
* Summer activities always helped keep the boys out of trouble and gave Lori a little more sanity each day
Lori's Bucket List got its official start in May of 2014 with 50 things she and the kids wanted to do as a family, including specific items they each wanted to “check off.” Many of the things on the list were places they could hike, playgrounds they could play at, activities that they could do together, splash pads they could cool off in, murals they could appreciate, or day trips that they could embark on and escape the Salt Lake Valley.
Each summer this list expanded to now include over 250 places to go, things to do, and adventures to be had in the State of Utah. In 2016, Lori’s Instagram posts used hashtags for each summer they were checking things off their list... (i.e. #thompsonsummerbucketlist2016, #thompsonsummerbucketlist2017, etc.). Soon, people were commenting on posts and sending direct messages requesting a copy of their list in order to join in the fun.
In 2020, while featuring many of the bucket list items on their YouTube channel with additional tips and tricks, Scott began cataloging the Lori's Bucket List locations in an interactive Google Map for easier navigation.
With so many tools and resources coming together, Lori's Bucket List-Summer 2021 was created! And they are now in their second year with the NEWEST version, Lori's Bucket List-Summer 2022 that features even more locations to enjoy!
